COVID 19 Innocuous impact to Insurance Agency Transactions

COVID19 has without a doubt caused widespread change and disruption to life as we know it in virtually every industry. The most obvious examples include restaurants, shopping and closure of parks, concerts and other gatherings. Now over three months into the Covid19 era, I am in a position to comment on what impact it has had on my operation as an insurance agent and how I foresee the future impact as well. In earlier times, insurance was something commonly done face to face. Since insurance isn't exactly a tangable good and in most circumstances it can be handled over the phone and through email, this allows for social distancing with little or no additional effort. Many agents use applications such as facetime and Zoom which create a more personalized atmosphere for transactions.
